‘Sliver: The Best Of The Box’ features 22 recordings, 18 of which made their debut on the massive selling ‘With The Lights Out’ Nirvana box set, and a mere three songs culled from Courtney Love’s secret stash of rare Kurt Cobain recordings. The previously unheard tracks are ‘Spank Thru’ (from 1985's ‘Fecal Matter’ demo tape featuring Cobain on guitar and vocals with Dale Crover of The Melvins on bass and drums), a track called ‘Sappy’ from a 1990 studio recording, and a 1991 pre-'Nevermind' rehearsal recording of ‘Come As You Are’.
