After taking down all the serious contenders Creed decides to give hometown Balboa a chance at the belt because he thought his ring name âThe Italian Stallionâ would help bring in the crowds. Although Creed and Balboa eventually become good friends, the brutal battles fought in the ring are the toughest Apollo had ever faced.
